Biolife Eau Claire

BioLife Plasma Services is a state-of-the-art facility dedicated to collecting quality plasma in a safe and clean environment. We are always listening to our donors’ suggestions on how to make our plasma centers and plasma donation process better, so that our plasma donors feel even better about saving lives.Despite objections from her parents, Chi Ab Vang began donating plasma in her hometown a few years ago.It was a good cause, and the current UW-Eau Claire student was in need of extra cash. She's since donated locally at BioLife Plasma Services, which has a had a longtime presence in Eau Claire."I actually started donating when I was still back home in Stevens Point," Vang said. "I started to donate because I had been wanting to buy a laptop on my own."
Such scenarios are what's kept Nancy Tanzer in the business for nearly two decades. Clients earn extra income while providing plasma that can save lives."It's a win-win; I thoroughly love my job," said Tanzer, manager for BioLife's local center. "I've been with them since Day One in Eau Claire."Tanzer, a Bloomer High School graduate, joined BioLife at its original location on Clairemont Ave. in Eau Claire, which opened in July 1995. Deerfield, Ill.-based BioLife Plasma Services is part of Baxter Healthcare, a domestic subsidiary of Baxter International. It opened a new expanded Eau Claire location in December.BioLife now has 72 beds, 50 percent more than it had previously, and a supervised playroom for the children of donors. The company is looking for a few more employees to reach 70 in Eau Claire.
